Conservation Crew

Evergreen Heritage Center Foundation is recruiting a 300-hour AmeriCorps member for the fall 2025. Evergreen is the home to a 131 acre historic farm complete with three museums, classrooms, trails, and more. AmeriCorps members will complete routine aquarium care and maintenance. They will also assist with invasive species removal, trail maintenance, and garden care. Our indoor classroom is home to four freshwater aquariums. The property also has multiple gardens and approximately five miles of trail system. Members will receive an education award at the completion of their service. Positions are contingent on final funding and clearance of a required background check. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a US citizen or permanent resident.

Marketing/Social Media

Evergreen Heritage Center Foundation is recruiting a 300-hour AmeriCorps member for the fall 2025. The member will assist with updating the website, create print marketing materials, social media posts and video content for social media. Evergreen is a 131 acre historic farm with roots back to the Revolutionary War. The property has museums, exhibits, classrooms, trails, and more. Historic research will focus on the Evergreen property and Western Maryland. Video content will promote Evergreen’s museums, programs, gardens, and trails. Members will receive an education award at the completion of their service. Positions are contingent on final funding and clearance of a required background check. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a US citizen or permanent resident.

Volunteer Coordinator

Evergreen Heritage Center Foundation is recruiting a 300-hour AmeriCorps member for the fall 2025. The AmeriCorps member will schedule, organize, and lead volunteer groups to assist with trail and garden maintenance. Evergreen is a 131 acre historic farm with roots back to the Revolutionary War. The property has museums, exhibits, classrooms, trails, and more. All equipment will be provided. This is a great opportunity to gain a leadership credential in the field of conservation. Members will receive an education award at the completion of their service. Positions are contingent on final funding and clearance of a required background check. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a US citizen or permanent resident.
